Apatite Mining Chemical Factory is known even far from the Kola peninsula. This enterprise has been providing with minerals the whole country for several decades that is in high demand in agriculture and heavy industry. The factory started only with a few tents and enthusiasm of scientists mineralogists who had found a large deposit of apatite ore in the Khibiny mountains. Today the Apatite is a real industrial giant, the work here is in process throughout the day underneath the earth and in the mountains. The presenter Andrey Ivanov went down to the underground mine and got evidence that even in the 21th century the hand labour may be important. He also visited concentrator factory where he learnt how lumps of rock is processed into fertilizer.
