There are only 25 nautical miles from Petersburg to Kronstadt. It's the starting point of the way to the Baltic Sea, tens of cargo vessels and passenger ferry boats go through it every day. But in winter when the shallow Gulf of Finland freezes, navigation is possible only under the guidance of an icebreaker. The presenter of RTG TV Igor Vukolov set out to the voyage on the icebreaker «Ivan Kruzenshtern», which is one of 13 port icebreakers, running between Petersburg and Kronstadt. He had a chance to participate in rescue operation and even learned to drive powerful vessel.
