This trout farm is situated at the foot of the Caucasian mountain range in the settlement Kazachij Brod 30 kilometers far from Sochi. The history of this farm started in 1963 year. At that time Sochi was a main health resort of the Soviet Union. The first fertilized grains of roe were delivered from Denmark. Today there are thirty thousand of females and three thousand and a half of males at the farm. This is where two unique races Adler and Adler Amber have been bred and are cultivated now. For the first time and in the terms of the artificial environment the trout starts to spawn at the age of two years. The period of the spawning is from September to March. During one program you can see the whole cycle of trout's growing: from the grains of roe to mature individual.
