Kaliningrad. World Ocean Museum

The city of Kaliningrad historically is the largest fish and trade sea port in Baltic. No wonder, that this is where the Russian unique museum, devoted to the sea depth 9;s exploration, the Museum of the World Ocean is located. Vessels traditions of different epochs come together at the Museum landing stage, which is named the Historical Fleet Embankment. This is where the scientific-research vessel Vitiaz, the vessel of space communication Kosmonavt Viktor Patsaev and the museum-submarine B-413 are moored. The functional machines and mechanisms have been preserved on each of these vessels, contemporary interiors are kept carefully and the ancient ones are restored. After is visit to the Museum Andrej Ivanov put to sea on the s cientific-research vessel Akademik Vavilov, which set out to Antarctica! Several hours of voyage around Kaliningrad sea channel were enough to examine vessels' device and even held practice general quarters! Together with the pilot our presenter left the Akademik Vavilov by wishing the crew «On an even keel!», according to the sea tradition.
