Contemporary Winter Combination, Race of Patrols, the Nordic Combined, biathlon is versatile. Today it's one of the most technically difficult and scenic kind of sports. During the Olympic Games, world championships and stages of Earth Cup the audience at biathlon games exceeds that of hockey, figure skating, skiing and other popular winter discipline. At the same time biathlon develops dynamically, equipment, arms and clothing are improved. Some kind of races belong only to biathlon. RTG TV presenter Igor Maximenko visited World Championship held in Khanty-Mansiysk, learnt what mixed relay and «pursuit» mean, and how mass start is carried out.
