For three centuries, they’ve been setting the pace for shipbuilding in Russia. Their creators are rightfully regarded as innovators in the sector. The Baltic Shipyard was founded in 1856. Since then, it’s been rightfully linked to the word “first” in numerous contexts. It was from its slipway at the beginning of the 20th century that the first Russian ice-breaker was launched.
