Tour of Irkutsk

This city is called the midst of the Earth, since it's equidistant from the three world's oceans: the Arctic, the Pacific and the Indian. The city of Irkutsk appeared as a wooden stockaded town, constructed by Cossacks pathfinders. It has quickly become the city of merchants, which houses were built by Petersburg architects! Together with viewers of RTG TV the presenter Eugenia Altfeld will go for a walk along ancient streets of Irkutsk and get on a bell tower of the oldest church, touch the rarities of an Irkutsk antique dealer and participate in experience at the Physics Museum. She learned a lot of new things about Siberian gemstones: nephrite, lazurite, charoite... The experienced stone cutter even will show how to make cabochons from these stones!
