The beer recipes of the Metropole restaurant

Almost immediately after it was founded, the city of St. Petersburg began attracting attention from foreigners. People in search of work or a new life were drawn here from all over Europe, and despite the fact that the quickly-growing city was in Russia, it had a European face. This was easily reflected in the international character of its cuisine. Here we see national Russian culinary traditions combined with those from Holland, Germany and England, as a result creating the very unique (and delicious) St. Petersburg cuisine. Today in the city - in addition to the many restaurants and cafes — you can still find a lot of places with the most unusual names such as Austeria, Birkhalle and Brasseriya. RTG TV host Igor Maximenko visited the famous Russian Metropol restaurant, which has its own brewery, and discovered just how this beloved, foamy beverage is produced and in what dishes it is used as a primary ingredient.
