Hunting and Fishing

Fishing for Baltic Sprats

Kaliningrad is the westernmost Russian city, the largest fish port in the Baltic Sea. The Baltic has always been lavishly feeding its citizens. Tens of large and small vessels go to marketable fishing in the Sea Economic Zone of Russia on the canal which is more than a hundred years old every day. Igor Vukolov has become for a day a member of the team of one of the small kolkhoz* fishing trawlers with a quite patriotic name «For Motherland» and set out to the sprat fishery. Such fishing couldn't help wondering even the experienced presenter of Russian Travel Guide. However, neither the famous short Baltic wave nor strong wind prevented fishermen from coming back with a perfect catch! *Kolkhoz was a form of collective farming in the Soviet Union.
