Together with chief cook of Samogon restaurant Igor Vukolov following ancient recipe. Meanwhile presenter learns how to salt cucumbers in pumpkin and prepares soaked grape. And at the end gastronomic etude is completed by “khrenovukha”**, a real Russian invention that serves better with salo and pickles. *Salo is a traditional Ukrainian food: cured slabs of fatback (rarely pork belly), with or without skin. ** Khrenovukha is a type of strong alcoholic vodka that has a bitter taste, being made from root horseradish, often with different spices, such as pepper peas and garlic.
