The 3rd International Hand-to-hand Combat Tournament went off at Moscow Center of Martial Arts, supported by the Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation and Moscomsport*. Sportsmen from 11 countries contended for the championship in eight weight classes. Hosts of the Tournament Russian wrestlers have been evident leaders and owned podium's step in all kind of awards. Hand-to-hand combat was included in the Unified Sports Classification System** in 1985. Championship and Cup of Russia, National Junior Championship, International and All-Russian Tournaments are held annually. The Federation's goal is to make sport popular both in Russia, and abroad. The 3rd International Hand-to-hand Combat Tournament promotes sports skills development, experience exchange and strengthening of international relationship.
